Down Under & topsy turvy: NZ scoops Shiraz trophy, Oz gets Sauvignon trophy!
Interesting news yesterday – the trophy for the best Shiraz/Syrah at the 2010 Cathay Pacific Hong Kong International Wine and Spirit Competition went to a New Zealand Shiraz, The Hay paddock Shiraz 2006 from Waiheke Island, while the Sauvignon trophy went to Southern Highland Wines Oldbury Sauvignon Blanc 2010. The Sauvignon comes from the up-and-coming cool climate Southern Highlands region in New South Wales. Shame I didn’t make it there last month!

Hi Sarah, Thanks for this great post! Reading your reviews makes me happy that I have a few bottles of (the regular) Noval from 2015 onwards!! All
Thanks for the suggestion. I know Lance Foyster quite well. However I have just found the Wine Society are now listing an Encruzado for £15.50
