Born Digital Wine Awards – rewarding the best online content in any language
Last week I caught up with social media gurus Ryan and Gabriella Opaz of Catavino in London. Committed democrats (with a small d, quite possibly with a capital D), the Barcelona-based American couple are passionate about the opportunities which social media provides for everyone to find their voice, be creative and converse about wine.
To that end, in partnership with Robert McIntosh of Wine Conversation, they’ve launched the Born Digital Wine Awards. The aim is to recognise individual pieces of work about wine (articles or videos) that were specifically created for (free) online publication, rather than an entire blog’s output over a year. As McIntosh puts it, “just enter your best stuff.”
The categories are:
- Editorial wine writing
- Wine themed video
- Wine tourism feature
- Investigative wine story
- Winery self-produced content
Up to 3 submissions are accepted and in any language. I salute their inclusivity!
The deadline for entries is 28 February, so get your skates on and give it a go! Entry details here.

I never knew those guys were American!
pardon the question, but is the title of the post meant to reflect the “evangelism” we practice for wine content online, .. ?
;)
Goodness me – Born Again Digital Wine Awards – what would Mr Freud say – I shall amend it!
I can’t stop laughing, I almost didn’t want you to change the title! Can’t imagine would our mission statement would be :)
