As you know I’ve been in Rutherglen all week, mostly judging at the 125th Rutherglen Wine Show, which incorporates The Australian Fortified Wine Show. The results were announced at the awards dinner last night.

Perpetual trophies carry a sense of history

Below you’ll find my most memorable trophy winners, fortifieds first (fortifieds may mostly come at the end of a meal, but were the stars of the show for me, especially the Campbells Rare Muscat, which had an absolutely MONUMENTAL finish).
