If you ever fancied visiting Margaret River, check your diary now! Taking place between 16 to 18 November, Margaret River Gourmet Escape features over 45 region-wide fine dining and wining events to tickle the taste buds. I’m thrilled to be involved, presenting tastings.
Ambitious from the off, Margaret River’s wine producers set their sights high and still regularly benchmark their wines against the world’s best. Take the annual Cullen Chardonnay and Cape Mentelle International Cabernet tastings, at which I’ll be speaking on the wines. Similarly ambitious and outward-looking, Margaret River Gourmet Escape brings together top culinary talent from around the world. Headline talent for the truly eye-popping star line up includes returning talent Nigella Lawson, Rick and Jack Stein, Tetsuya Wakuda, Julien Royer, Ashley Palmer-Watts, Jo Barrett, Mitch Orr and Guy Grossi. First-time Gourmet Escapers include Skye Gyngell, Monica Galetti, Niki Nakayama, Edgar Núñez, Rosio Sánchez and James Lowe.
