A cracking food & wine match: Tamar Ridge Limited Release Botrytis Riesling 2006 & key lime pie
After Christmas’ rich fare, Tamar Ridge Limited Release Botrytis Riesling 2006 & key lime pie brought a welcome bit of zip and zest to supper on the New Year bank holiday. It was a triumph of sweetness and sharpness (said she, channelling Masterchef presenter Greg Wallace!) not to mention limey intensity. And here’s a confession, didn’t make the key lime pie – left that to Fru!
Coincidentally, both are sold by Waitrose (a half bottle of the 2007 vintage of this Tasmanian devilishly good sweetie costs £12.91 online). Howzat for an easy dessert!
And if you’ve ever watched Masterchef, take a peak at this cut and spliced version on Youtube here – very, very funny.

Thanks for the suggestion. I know Lance Foyster quite well. However I have just found the Wine Society are now listing an Encruzado for £15.50
