Life on the Douro: Zev Robinson’s film launches in London with a tasting
You may recall from an earlier post that I’ve had a sneak preview. It’s an understated film which really beautifully captures the region’s majesty and grandeur, remoteness and ruggedness.
Spliced together interviews with leading players in the Port and Douro wine industry give you a grass roots insight into its history, tradition, evolution and challenges.
Symington Family Estates, Niepoort, Taylor Fladgate, Quinta do Vale D. Maria and Quevedo will be showing wines (the tasting is included in the ticket price), plus there will be a dinner menu and Portuguese wines available at a discount.
Tickets are £9.00 in advance, click here to book (£10.00 at the door, limited availability).
Find out more about the Douro’s most remote sub-region in four recently posted reports of my trip last month: tasting notes on Barca Velha 1982 & 2000 here, a video of field grafting at Quinta da Leda here, a visit with Duorum and a vist with Quinta de Maritávora here.
