Heads up: The Wonderful Wines of Aus tastings

 

April has kicked off on a bright note with the long holiday weekend.  Even a fair whack of Australian winemakers have had a rare Easter holiday.  All down to an early vintage – one Peter Barry was so demob happy he dispatched easter eggs across the globe.  I’m liking this press release with chocolate idea!

And the sunny spirit of Australia continues to shine over London during this month as acclaimed restaurant and wine purveyor D&D celebrate “The Wonderful Wines of Aus” with a series of special tastings.

I’m excited to be presenting a wine dinner at Le Pont de la Tour on April 20. Head Chef Tom Cook will be drawing on his time in Sydney at renowned seafood destination Pier Restaurant – Yabby and Barramundi are on the menu.  And I, for one, am looking forward to his recreation of Peter Gilmore’s (The Quay) iconic Snow Egg and the Lamingtons!

During April, Le Pont de la Tour will also be hosting free Australia -v- France tastings.
